EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – Authorities in East Brunswick are calling for the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of robbing Columbia Bank on Highway 18.On the morning of August 18th, the East Brunswick Police Department received notice of an activated panic alarm at the bank. Upon responding to the alarm, officers were informed that a robbery had occurred, and the suspect had already fled the scene.The suspect, described as a white male, was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, a medical mask, blue sunglasses, dark sweats, white shoes, and holding a black Acme bag with red handles. Witnesses report that he made his getaway in a gray Honda Odyssey mini-van parked on West Ferris Street.Local law enforcement urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to contact Detective Chris Williams at 732-390-6990 or via email at cwilliams@ebpd.net.
