Syracuse Police Arrest Suspected Bank Robber

Officers from the Syracuse Police Department apprehended a man suspected of robbing KeyBank on 201 South Warren Street, on August 25th, at around 9:32 a.m.

According to the police, a man entered the bank demanding money. The bank teller complied, handing over an undisclosed sum. The suspect then fled on foot towards Water Street.

Officers Coleman and Shipe located the man in a parking lot at the corner of South State Street and Water Street, where he was positively identified as 54-year-old John Brown, of Syracuse. Brown was found with the proceeds of the robbery at the time of his arrest.

Brown was subsequently arrested and lodged at the Onondaga County Justice Center, charged with Robbery in the Third Degree.
