Man Charged for Death of 2-Year-Old Nasir Paris

Brooklyn, NY — A 2-year-old boy was found dead in his Brooklyn home on Sunday, and a neighbor has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Authorities were alerted to the situation at 2125 East 68 Street, in the 63 Precinct, when a 911 call came in around 11:57 a.m. regarding an unconscious child. Upon arrival, officers found 2-year-old Nasir Parris unresponsive and with bruises on his stomach. Emergency Medical Services transported him to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Following an examination, the Medical Examiner determined that the child had suffered trauma to his head and body.

The cause of death has been ruled a homicide.

On Monday, an ongoing investigation led to the arrest of 23-year-old Latrell Lewis, a resident of the same address. Lewis has been charged with murder.
