20-Year-Old Suspect Arrested in Connection with South Columbus Shooting

In a recent development, authorities have apprehended and charged 20-year-old Aaron Beamon in connection with a shooting incident in south Columbus that resulted in one fatality and another injured.

The incident occurred on October 8, 2023, in the 200 block of Buffalo Ct. Responding to reports of gunfire, police officers discovered two adults with gunshot injuries. Jashua Watts, 32, was found inside a sedan that had crashed into a wooded area and was pronounced dead on the scene. Another victim, found in a proximate apartment, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Thankfully, their condition has since been upgraded to stable.
