Ocean County Hazardous Waste Collection begins April 16

TOMS RIVER – Ocean County begins its hazardous waste collection program with the first pickup in Stafford Township on April 16.

The free program provides county residents with a way to properly and safely discard of items such as paints, paint thinners and cleaners. The program helps keep these materials from entering waterways and preserved lands.

The collection times are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these dates and locations:
• April 16: Stafford Township Public Works Garage, 320 Haywood Road
• May 14: Manchester Township Public Works Garage, 1360 Route 70
• June 11: Toms River Township Public Works Garage, 1672 Church Road
