72-Year-Old Man Assaulted Near Union Square

NEW YORK CITY, NY – An assault incident has prompted a request from the New York City Police Department for public assistance in identifying the perpetrator.

The event transpired on Wednesday, September 27, at around 1:45 pm. A 72-year-old male, while walking in the vicinity of East 14th Street and Union Square West, was unexpectedly punched and shoved by an unknown individual.

The force caused the victim to fall into a large cement flowerpot.

The assailant left the scene on a two-wheeled vehicle.

The victim was subsequently hospitalized at NYC Health & Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
