False Alarm of Shots Fired at King of Prussia Mall Under Investigation

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA – On Friday, at 7:01 PM, a false alarm was raised at King of Prussia Mall regarding shots fired.

The Upper Merion Police Department, responding to the scene, determined that the incident was a shoplifting episode where a suspect displayed a weapon during an apprehension attempt by a loss prevention officer.

No shots were fired, but a loss prevention officer sustained injuries during the incident.

The suspects fled the scene, and the police are actively investigating.

The Upper Merion Police Department assures no current threat to mall customers or staff and seeks information from the public regarding this incident.
