Egg Harbor Township PAL Hosts ‘Shop with a Hero’ Event

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, NJ – In a heartwarming community engagement, Egg Harbor Township Police Athletic League (PAL) hosted the ‘Shop with a Hero’ event on Saturday. The event saw children from the local community pair up with first responders from Atlantic County to enjoy a festive shopping spree at Walmart.

Sergeant Natasha Alvarado, Michael Kerley, and Keith Epstein, detectives with the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office (ACPO), volunteered at this special occasion. The day began with a holiday breakfast, creating a cheerful atmosphere for the young participants. Following the meal, children accompanied by Atlantic County’s first responders embarked on a mission to select holiday presents.

This initiative, aimed at strengthening community bonds, provided a unique opportunity for children to interact with local heroes while celebrating the festive season. The event underscored the commitment of Egg Harbor Township PAL and Atlantic County first responders to support and give back to their community, especially during the holiday season.
