GLEN BURNIE, MD – An attempted robbery escalated into a shooting in Glen Burnie, with the victim narrowly escaping injury.

The incident occurred on December 28, 2023, around 12:50 a.m. in the 8000 block of Green Orchard Road. Police responded to reports of a shooting, where a 23-year-old man was targeted in his blue 2019 Tesla. Two juvenile males, dressed in black and armed with handguns, attempted to rob him.

In an effort to escape, the victim accelerated his vehicle, hitting two parked cars before fleeing on foot. One of the suspects fired a shot at the victim, who fortunately was not hit. Police later found a spent shell casing and the projectile at the scene.
