CLARK, NJ – An 86-year-old woman from Rahway lost her life in a single-vehicle crash on the Garden State Parkway in Union County on Sunday morning. Identified as Martha Merra, the driver’s vehicle veered off the northbound lanes near mile marker 137 in Clark, resulting in a collision with two guardrails.
According to NJ.com, Merra’s vehicle initially struck a guardrail, then crossed over the lanes before impacting the left guardrail. The details surrounding the cause of the accident are yet to be determined, and no further information about the crash has been released at this time.
