Newark Police Seek Fugitive Who Fled Tow

NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé announced the issuance of an arrest warrant for Tahrell Hubbard, 31, for eluding police on Friday, December 29.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., police officers identified a 2016 black Jeep with a suspended registration on Sanford Avenue.

Upon informing Hubbard of the vehicle’s impending tow, he fled the scene in the vehicle.

Hubbard, described as 6’3” and 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, is now sought on an eluding charge.

Director Fragé asks anyone with information on Hubbard’s whereabouts to contact the Police Division’s Crime Stopper tip line.
