Shooting at Polo Grounds Leads to Fatal Injury and Ongoing Manhunt

NEW YORK, NY – A fatal shooting has occurred at the Polo Grounds, located at 2949 Frederick Douglass Boulevard, leading to an active search for a suspect. On Sunday, March 3, at approximately 10:37 p.m., an unidentified male reportedly approached a 33-year-old male and fired multiple shots, striking him in the chest.
The victim was quickly transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was tragically pronounced dead.
In connection with this incident, detectives have identified 24-year-old Gekron Williams as a suspect wanted for questioning. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to apprehend Williams and further details will be released as they become available.
