Repeat Drunk Driver Admits Guilt in Crash that Killed Marine Corps Vet

Lindenhurst, NY – Michael DeAngelo, age 33 of Lindenhurst, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular manslaughter and other charges following a quadruple-fatal crash. DeAngelo admitted to driving over 100 miles per hour under the influence of fentanyl and cocaine.

DeAngelo, who has a history of driving under the influence, is set to be sentenced to seven to 21 years in prison on Friday, June 28.

The collision occurred on the evening of August 6, 2023, at around 7:15 p.m. in East Massapequa on Sunrise Highway. 

The victim in the crash was a Marine Corps veteran.
