ROCHESTER, NY – Mario Cain-Henry, 31, from Rochester, NY, has been sentenced to 144 months in prison following his conviction for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking activities. U.S. District Judge Frank P. Geraci, Jr. handed down the sentence, as announced by U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Douglas E. Gregory, who managed the case, described Cain-Henry as an associate of the Bloods Gang and a member of a local subset, the Immortal Stone Gorilla Gang. The sentencing follows a comprehensive investigation into the gang’s involvement in narcotics trafficking, weapons possession, and related violence. On December 14, 2022, law enforcement executed multiple search warrants at Cain-Henry’s residence and other locations, where they seized narcotics, cash, loaded firearms, and ammunition.
The investigation was partly spurred by the murder of Rochester Police Investigator Anthony Mazurkewicz and the assault of Investigator Sino Seng in July 2022, which highlighted the ongoing violent disputes involving gang members, including those led by another gang figure, Brandon “B-Mack” Washington. Washington and his associates have also faced federal charges related to drug and weapons offenses.
