A quiet Bronx street turned into a crime scene after two young men were gunned down in a brazen early morning attack

Two men were fatally shot early Monday morning outside a residential building in the Bronx, marking a deadly start to the week in the 45th Precinct.

Police responded to a 911 call just after 6:00 a.m. reporting gunfire outside 500 Brush Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the abdomen and buttocks, and a 22-year-old man shot in the armpit and shoulder.

Emergency medical services transported both victims to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in critical condition. Despite life-saving efforts, both men were pronounced dead at the hospital.

As of Sunday, police had not released the names of the victims, pending notification of their families. No arrests have been made, and detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Authorities have not released information on a possible motive or whether the victims were targeted. The investigation remains active.
