Allentown police investigating noose-like object found on desk at City Hall

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Allentown Police Department has launched an investigation after a noose-like object was found on an employee’s desk at City Hall early Friday morning.

Police were notified of the incident around 7:30 a.m. on January 10, 2025. Authorities have not released details about the employee or the circumstances surrounding the discovery but confirmed the item closely resembled a noose.

“This matter is being taken seriously and is under active investigation,” the department said in a statement.

Officials are urging anyone with information to contact the Allentown Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division at 610-437-7721 or submit anonymous tips through Tip411.

No further information has been released as the investigation continues.
