Ashland man wins $500k on Ohio Lottery scratch-off ticket

ASHLAND, OH – Ashland resident Richard Brown became the lucky winner of the $500,000 top prize on the Ohio Lottery Scratch-Off, $500,000 Cashword.

The winning ticket was sold at Certified Oil #220, located at 201 W Herrick Ave. in Wellington.

The $10 Scratch-Off game, $500,000 Cashword, has four top prizes remaining as of April 12, 2023. Brown’s big win, however, did come with a tax deduction of 28 percent, which includes mandatory state and federal taxes.

Despite the deduction, Brown will still receive a sizable amount of $360,000.
