AVALON, N.J. — The Avalon Police Department has announced the success of its Annual Toy Drive, collecting approximately 300 toys to brighten the holidays for 30 children under the care of the Department of Child Protective Services.

The initiative, which relied on donations from residents, Borough employees, and community groups like the Lion’s Club, received widespread support from the Avalon community. Police officials expressed gratitude for the generosity that made this year’s drive possible.

“This wonderful event wouldn’t be possible without their hard work and dedication,” the department said in a statement, highlighting the contributions of Records Division staff members Dawn Brady and Debbie Foley, as well as Administrative Secretary Alexis Hagner, who helped organize and wrap the gifts.

The collected toys were distributed to children in need, aiming to spread holiday cheer and support families facing difficult circumstances. The department also extended holiday wishes to the community in appreciation of the efforts that contributed to the drive’s success.

With 300 toys donated, the toy drive serves as a testament to the collective generosity of the Avalon community this holiday season.
