Back-to-back NJ lottery wins land players $800K

Two New Jersey players strike it big with Jersey Cash 5 jackpots in weekend wins

Trenton, NJ – Two lucky New Jersey Lottery players—one in Union County and one in Ocean County—matched all five numbers in separate Jersey Cash 5 drawings over the weekend, winning more than $800,000 combined in back-to-back hits.

On Friday, a player in Westfield took home a $664,971 jackpot with a ticket sold at Stop & Shop on 219 Elm Street. The winning numbers for that drawing were 06, 19, 24, 34, and 41, with 34 as the Bullseye number and 02 as the XTRA multiplier. It was the 56th Jersey Cash 5 jackpot hit this year.

Just two nights later, Sunday’s $160,000 jackpot was won by a player in Ocean County. That winning ticket was purchased at the Sunoco gas station at 406 Route 9 in Waretown. The numbers drawn were 22, 31, 32, 38, and 40, with the Bullseye number again being 40 and the XTRA also at 02.

Along with the two jackpot winners, 31 other players in Friday’s drawing and 11 on Sunday matched four out of five numbers plus the Bullseye, each winning $500.

Both retailers that sold the winning tickets will receive a $2,000 bonus from the New Jersey Lottery.

Following the weekend’s back-to-back wins, the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot has reset to $150,000 for tonight’s drawing.
