BALTIMORE — A 16-year-old male was arrested late Wednesday night in the Southwest District after detectives recovered a handgun during an investigation, according to the Baltimore Police Department. The arrest occurred at approximately 11 p.m. on October 23 in the 1400 block of West Lombard Street.

Authorities stated that the detectives were conducting an investigation in the area when they detained the juvenile suspect and found a handgun with ammunition in his possession. Details surrounding the circumstances of the investigation have not yet been released.

The juvenile was subsequently transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility for processing. Police did not disclose the suspect’s identity due to his age.
