BENSALEM, PA — Detective Sgt. Glenn Vandegrift has retired from the Bensalem Township Police Department after 28 years of service.
Vandegrift spent more than a decade as a member of the department’s SWAT Team and also served as a firearms instructor.
His investigative work included crime-scene processing, fingerprint analysis, blood-spatter analysis and DNA processing. The department described Vandegrift as its expert in those areas.
Vandegrift also worked on several of Bensalem police’s technology initiatives. His involvement included Drone Operations, the Drone as First Responder program, Bus Patrol and the department’s Real-Time Crime Center.
“We thank Sergeant Vandegrift for his years of exceptional service and wish him the best in retirement,” Bensalem police said Thursday.
