Man sought after stabbing reported on Cedar Street in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON, DC — A late-night stabbing in the 300 block of Cedar Street NW prompted an active search for a suspect as officers responded to the scene and began gathering initial details, according to a crime alert released by the Metropolitan Police Department.

The incident was reported at about 12:58 a.m. on February 16. MPD units arrived to investigate and issued a lookout for a man described as wearing a black jacket and khaki pants. No additional details about the victim or circumstances of the stabbing were immediately available.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing and will be updated as new information is confirmed.
