Body discovered at Pentagon City shopping center

Man found dead in stock room at Pentagon City mall triggers police investigation

ARLINGTON, VA – A man was found dead in a stock room at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City on Tuesday morning, prompting a response from local police and a death investigation by the county medical examiner.

Officers with the Arlington County Police Department were dispatched shortly before noon to the mall located in the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street, following a report of a cardiac arrest. When they arrived, they discovered the man deceased at the scene.

The body was located in a stock room area of the shopping center. Police say there is no indication of foul play at this time, and the death does not appear suspicious.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is tasked with determining the official cause and manner of death. Authorities confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public or surrounding community.

The man’s identity has not yet been released, and it remains unclear whether he was an employee or visitor at the mall. The investigation is ongoing.
