A 32-year-old man was arrested Friday after Buffalo police connected him to an April shooting that left a woman wounded and led to an outstanding warrant.
Buffalo, NY – Buffalo police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with an April shooting on Bailey Avenue after officers responding to an unrelated burglary call discovered he had an active warrant. The arrest was made Friday, nearly two months after a woman was shot and injured in the city.
Authorities said B District officers responded shortly before noon Friday to a reported burglary in progress in the first block of Plymouth Avenue. Upon arrival, officers detained six individuals who were allegedly inside an apartment without the tenant’s permission.

During the investigation, officers discovered one of the detained individuals was allegedly in possession of a white rock substance suspected to be crack cocaine. Police also learned the individual had an outstanding arrest warrant related to a shooting investigation.
Shooting victim walked into hospital
According to the Buffalo Police Department, a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper leg walked into Erie County Medical Center at approximately 5:45 a.m. on April 11. Detectives assigned to the Gun Violence Unit launched an investigation and identified the shooting scene in the 2700 block of Bailey Avenue.
Investigators said a suspect was identified during the course of the case but remained at large until Friday’s arrest.
Charges filed against suspect
Police identified the suspect as Myles Taylor, 32, who was listed as having no permanent address. He has been charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class C felony, and one count of Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree, a Class D felony.
Taylor also faces a misdemeanor charge of Assault in the Third Degree and a misdemeanor count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.
The investigation remains ongoing, and all charges are accusations until proven in court.
