CAMBRIDGE, Md. — A 38-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday following a stabbing incident that left a victim with multiple injuries, according to the Cambridge Police Department (CPD). Authorities said the incident occurred early on October 13 at a residence in the 400 block of Linden Avenue.

The victim reported that Chakre Chamar Rich arrived at the residence at approximately 5:30 a.m. and an altercation ensued. During the dispute, Rich allegedly left the room and returned with a pair of scissors, which she used to stab the victim in the neck. The victim attempted to disarm Rich, resulting in additional lacerations to the victim’s hands.

The victim managed to leave the residence after Rich exited the scene and sought assistance at a family member’s home before receiving medical treatment at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center. The victim then reported the incident to police.

Officers located Rich at the Linden Avenue residence and placed her under arrest. She was transported to the Cambridge Police Department for processing and appeared before a Court Commissioner.
