Columbian Migrant Stabs and Kills Mother and Her Two Children in Grisly New Jersey Triple Murder

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A 31-year-old man has been charged with murder in the fatal stabbing of a woman and her two children inside a Jersey City apartment, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez announced Wednesday.

It has been confirmed that all three victims were illegal migrants from Columbia.

Napoleon Romero-Anduray faces three counts of murder, along with weapons charges, in connection with the attack, which occurred early Tuesday morning at 272 Hutton Avenue.

Jersey City police responded to a report of a stabbing at approximately 12:15 a.m. and discovered three victims inside the apartment. Luisa Urbano, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:12 a.m. Her 9-year-old son, Juan Martin Urbano, and 5-year-old daughter, Diana Ramirez, were transported to Jersey City Medical Center, where they were later pronounced dead.

Romero-Anduray was also found injured at the scene and was taken to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment. His condition has not been disclosed.

Romero-Anduray is also suspected to be an illegal migrant and an ex-boyfriend of the deceased woman. Neighbors report that Romero-Anduray has a history of violence and police interactions at the apartment.

The Regional Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting autopsies to determine the exact cause and manner of death. The investigation remains ongoing.
