TRENTON-New Jersey is one of the most taxed states in America. It’s also one of the most politically bankrupt states in the nation, but Phil Murphy, a Wall Street millionaire who wants to be the next governor of the state thinks its residents are worried about Facebook posts made by New Jersey Assemblyman Parker Space.
Space violated the safe space of every liberal in the state apparently when he posted a photo of himself and his wife standing next to a Confederate flag at a Hank Williams concert.
Murphy immediately jumped on the opportunity to criticize…Kim Guadagno.
When $20 million in campaign funding can’t buy you a suitable campaign platform, it seems Murphy is hopping on the liberal bandwagon of shaming his opponent for something she didn’t do and didn’t even know about.
“We are now seeing a disturbing trend emerge with Kim Guadagno and her campaign,” Murphy decried on Facebook.
Guadagno did not comment on the image because she didn’t see it.
Is it a disturbing trend that the Lt. Governor doesn’t publicly comment on every questionable Facebook post made? It could be a full time job, especially if she gets into reading some of the liberal left’s violent, dividing and racist rants these days.
“Yesterday, she refused to criticize a sitting Assemblyman for posing with the Confederate flag, a symbol of bigotry and divisiveness,” Murphy added. “Today, we’ve learned that her choice for Lieutenant Governor, Woodcliff Lake Mayor Carlos Rendo, has been accused of systematic harassment and discrimination by the Chabad community in Woodcliff Lake. Yet, both times Lieutenant Governor Guadagno refused to criticize racist and anti-semitic speech despite the clear evidence.”
That same day we also learned that Robert Menendez, a Democrat senator from Jersey would be heading to trial to face bribery and corruption charges, a topic which Murphy doesn’t really have much to say about either.
Murphy also doesn’t have much to say about preserving New Jersey’s 2% property tax cap either.
Guadango did comment about that Facebook post, essentially saying Murphy’s anti-semitic claim was right out of the Democrat fiction section of the local library.
“Phil Murphy is resorting to desperate, negative and false attacks to divert attention from his plan for a billion dollar tax increase and from his deafening silence on how he will fix New Jersey’s already highest in the nation property taxes,” she said.
Jewish leaders also condemned Murphy’s cheap shot.
“I was really troubled that Phil Murphy’s running mate supports the virulently anti-Israel BDS movement and was one of only three Assembly votes against the landmark Anti-BDS legislation that overwhelmingly passed the NJ Assembly and Senate last year,” said Mark Levenson, a longtime Jewish community activist and a leader in the successful effort to pass New Jersey’s Anti-BDS legislation. “On this critical issue, you are either with us on the right side of the issue or you are against us. There is no middle ground. Jewish leaders are standing with Kim Guadagno and Carlos Rendo because they will always stand with Israel, oppose hypocritical double standard discrimination against the Jewish State and speak out against antisemitism.”
