CUMBERLAND, MD – On July 15, lottery enthusiasts in Western Maryland struck it rich as two major prizes were awarded. A Cumberland resident won a $560,000 jackpot from Maryland’s Multi-Match game, while a Powerball player in Hagerstown secured a $50,000 prize.

The winning Multi-Match ticket, which hit all six numbers (3, 14, 29, 30, 32, and 35), was purchased at Sheetz, located at 2045 Bedford Road in Cumberland. The victor has the option to receive the $560,000 in 25 yearly payments or a lump sum of approximately $310,000 before taxes. The store will also receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

In Hagerstown, the significant Powerball ticket was sold at the Pilot Travel Center on 11633 Greencastle Pike. This ticket marks the 35th to win the $50,000 third-tier prize in Maryland this year.

This year’s sixth Multi-Match jackpot was the one from Cumberland, following five previous jackpots won across Maryland, with the most recent unclaimed ticket sold on June 20 at Four Corners Exxon in Mt. Airy. Winners must claim their prizes within 182 days by making an appointment at the Lottery Headquarters in Baltimore.
