CUMBERLAND, MD – A Cumberland man was arrested on Tuesday after police responded to a breaking and entering report at a home on the 200 block of Baltimore Street.

The property owner discovered a broken window and disturbed belongings upon returning home.

Cumberland City Police found that an extension cord ran from the broken window to an adjacent abandoned property.

Following their investigation, officers located 38-year-old Tracy Kerry Williams inside and arrested him.

Williams faced charges including two counts of fourth-degree burglary, two counts of destruction of property, and theft under $100. He was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond after his initial appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
