Lucky ticket lands prize worth more than $31K

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. — A New York Lottery player turned a routine stop at a Port Chester gas station into a top-prize TAKE 5 win worth $31,709.

According to the New York Lottery, the winning ticket for the Aug. 4 TAKE 5 Evening drawing was sold at F & S Petroleum, located at 98 Hillside Ave. in Port Chester.

The ticket matched all five numbers drawn to claim the top prize of $31,709.

The New York Lottery did not release additional information about the ticket.

TAKE 5 drawings are held twice daily at approximately 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Draw game prizes may be claimed for up to one year from the drawing date.
