D.C. Fugitive Sought for Murder

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, MD – Homicide Unit detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday. The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Jawaun Jackson of Washington, DC. Authorities are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On Thursday at approximately 8:45 pm, officers responded to the 2900 block of 52nd Avenue following reports of a male in the roadway. Upon arrival, they found Jackson with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are working to establish when and where the shooting took place. They are also trying to determine a motive and identify any suspects involved.
