Dad Stashed Meth on Young Daughter During Traffic Stop

BELINGTON, WV — A father in West Virginia faces multiple charges, including child neglect and drug possession, following a routine traffic stop that led to a shocking discovery. Kenneth Cutright, 36, was arrested outside a convenience store after a deputy found drugs planted on his young daughter.

The incident occurred on June 6 near the Arlington Mini Mart on West Virginia Route 20 in Arlington. Local reports from NBC affiliate WBOY state that the stop was initiated due to the dark window tint and loud exhaust of Cutright’s car. Further investigation revealed that the car had mismatched registration details, lacked proper inspection stickers, and was reported stolen from Lawrence County, Ohio.

During the stop, Cutright was found to have a 7-ounce bag of methamphetamine, which he had placed on one of his daughters. He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, child neglect creating a risk of injury, being a prohibited person with a firearm, and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. He is currently held at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail in Belington, West Virginia.

This case highlights severe risks and has sparked a broader discussion about child safety and drug-related offenses in the region.
