BLADENSBURG, Md. — The Prince George’s County Police Department has announced that the September death of a man found in a Bladensburg park has been ruled a homicide, following an autopsy that determined blunt force trauma as the cause of death.
The victim, identified as 55-year-old Ricardo Ramos Andrade of Colmar Manor, was discovered unresponsive in a park in the 4600 block of Annapolis Road on the morning of September 25. Officers with Maryland-National Capital Park Police responded to the scene at approximately 6:35 a.m., where Ramos Andrade was pronounced dead.
On November 22, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner concluded its investigation, ruling the death a homicide. The case has been taken over by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit, which is working to identify and apprehend the individual or individuals responsible.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in the case. Police encourage anyone with information to contact a Homicide Unit detective at 301-516-2512.
