Delaware State Police investigating early morning shooting in Ellendale

ELLENDALE, Del. – State police are investigating a shooting that damaged a home and two vehicles early Sunday morning in Sussex County.

According to Delaware State Police, troopers responded around 1:20 a.m. on January 18 to the 18000 block of Sharons Road after reports of gunfire. An initial investigation found that an unknown suspect fired several rounds that struck an occupied residence and two parked, unoccupied vehicles.

Four people, including two adults and two children, were inside the home at the time but were not injured.

The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit is leading the investigation. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact Detective R.
