Man arrested after pulling gun during ongoing dispute on Pennsylvania Avenue

Washington, DC — A long-simmering argument between two men came to a head Thursday morning when one allegedly pulled a gun during a confrontation in Southeast DC, prompting an arrest two days later.

The incident occurred around 11:15 a.m. on December 18 in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE. According to investigators, the suspect and victim had been engaged in an ongoing dispute over the past several months. During their latest encounter, the suspect escalated the argument by brandishing a firearm and pointing it at the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim was unharmed.

Two days later, on Saturday, police arrested 51-year-old Keith Moody, who has no fixed address. He was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun). The weapon involved in the incident has not been recovered, and no further details were released regarding the motive behind the continued conflict.

The case remains under investigation.
