DoorDash Driver Charged With Sexual Assault at Farmingdale Home, Arrested in Howell

FARMINGDALE, N.J. — A 36-year-old DoorDash delivery driver is charged with sexually assaulting a woman at a Monmouth County home before fleeing, and was later arrested in Howell, New Jersey State Police said.

Troopers responded to a residence on West Main Street around 4:13 p.m. April 14 after receiving a report that an assault had just occurred, according to the New Jersey State Police.

Suspect Identified and Tracked After Incident

Investigators say a female victim reported being assaulted by a food delivery driver who left the scene immediately after the incident.

Through investigative work and surveillance efforts, detectives with the New Jersey State Police Criminal Investigation Office identified the suspect as Luis Teran-Carrillo, 36, of Howell.

Authorities located Teran-Carrillo at the Manasquan Reservoir, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Charges Filed in Monmouth County Case

Teran-Carrillo faces multiple charges, including sexual assault and criminal sexual contact. He was transported to the Monmouth County Jail, where he remains held pending a future court appearance.

The New Jersey State Police have not released additional details about the circumstances of the alleged assault.
