Authorities are investigating a series of coordinated animal abandonment cases across multiple towns in Sussex County.
Sussex County, NJ – New Jersey State Police are searching for those responsible after multiple groups of small dogs were found abandoned in crates across three locations in Sussex County on Monday evening. Troopers responded around 7:30 p.m. to reports along County Route 619 in Stillwater, Meadows Road in Lafayette Township, and Clark Road in Wantage Township.

At each site, troopers discovered between six and eight small dogs left in open crates without access to food or water. Authorities believe the incidents are connected based on similarities in the dogs’ appearance and the manner in which they were abandoned.
