LAKEWOOD, NJ – A video published by the Lakewood Scoop this weekend shows a man dressed in Jewish religious clothing walking along County Line Road during the Sabbath in what appears to be a targeted incident.
A white SUV is seen approaching the man when a large lit firework was thrown from the passing vehicle in the direction of the victim.
The man notices the hissing of the firework fuse and then covers his ears as the device explodes nearby.
He was not injured during the incident which is now being investigated as a possible bias crime.
The incident happened at around 3:55 pm on Saturday. It was captured by a nearby video surveillance camera attached to a utility pole.
At this time, the Lakewood Police have not identified any suspects and no charges have been filed.
