LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Fans of the Doobie Brothers will have a chance to hear songs from both the Tom Johnston and Michael McDonald eras when tribute band The Doobie Others takes the stage at the Strand Theater in Lakewood this month.
Presented by James D’Amico’s Sun Concerts and the Strand Theater, the Sept. 19 performance will feature a seven-member group of professional Long Island musicians performing music from across the Doobie Brothers catalog.

The band’s set covers music from the group’s Johnston and McDonald eras, giving audiences a show that spans different periods of the Doobie Brothers’ career.
Concertgoers can expect performances of favorites including “Listen to the Music,” “Long Train Runnin’,” “Black Water,” “What a Fool Believes,” “Minute by Minute” and “Takin’ It to the Streets.”
The tribute band’s performances emphasize the vocal harmonies that became a signature part of the Doobie Brothers’ sound while maintaining the energy of a live rock show.
