Five indicted in Bronx gunpoint robbery spree tied to alleged Trinitarios gang

November 21, 2025

BRONX, NY – Five defendants, including a 16-year-old boy, have been indicted in connection with a string of violent gunpoint robberies across the Bronx that netted nearly $100,000 in stolen jewelry, prosecutors announced Friday.

Bronx District Attorney Darcel D. Clark said the group, alleged members of the Trinitarios set known as BB7, terrorized victims during a two-week spree.

The defendants allegedly targeted residents in several Bronx neighborhoods, brandishing guns and forcibly taking jewelry, watches, and other valuables.

Armed robberies caught on video

According to the investigation, the robberies occurred between September 20 and October 6 and were captured on surveillance video.

Prosecutors said the defendants—identified as Manuel Rivas, 20, of Newark, New Jersey; Wilfren Carbuccia, 20; Anthony Perez, 29; a 16-year-old male; and one unidentified suspect still at large—are charged with multiple counts of robbery, conspiracy, and grand larceny.

Rivas faces additional weapons charges, including possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The 16-year-old is also charged separately for an earlier robbery on September 27, in which he allegedly held a pistol with an extended magazine to a victim’s chest during a robbery in a Bronx apartment.

Victims targeted across multiple Bronx neighborhoods

Investigators said the group operated in areas including Kingsbridge, Mott Haven, and Fordham Heights, preying on victims wearing gold chains, watches, or rings.

One victim, an elderly man robbed outside his home, was reportedly so traumatized he moved out within two weeks of the incident.

In another case, a business owner was cornered by the suspects on mopeds. Others were ambushed in their cars or outside nightclubs, where the defendants allegedly blocked escape routes with their vehicle.

Extensive joint investigation leads to indictments

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office Violent Criminal Enterprise Bureau led the investigation alongside multiple NYPD units and the FBI/NYPD Westchester Safe Streets Taskforce.

Prosecutors said the suspects met at Bronx motels before and after the robberies to plan and review their proceeds.

Carbuccia was remanded after arraignment, while the 16-year-old’s bail was set at $100,000 cash or $500,000 bond. Perez and Rivas remain awaiting arraignment.

District Attorney Clark said the pattern of violence highlights the need for aggressive prosecution of gang-related robberies and ongoing support for victims.
