BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted after a shooting in Brooklyn left a dog injured.
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at approximately 5:46 p.m. Wednesday in front of 218 31st Street within the 72nd Precinct. Police said an unidentified individual displayed a firearm and fired a shot in the direction of an unidentified man.
Dog struck by gunfire
Authorities said the round missed the intended target and instead struck a 7-year-old female dog. Police have not released the dog’s condition or identified its owner.
