Former Wall Stadium manager arrested after barricading herself inside office

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Police say a former tenant and one-time manager at Wall Stadium Speedway was arrested Saturday morning after allegedly barricading herself inside the racetrack’s office and locking out the new management team.

According to Wall Township Police, officers responded to the speedway at 9:39 a.m. for a report of a trespasser who refused to leave the property. The individual, identified as Emily Krause, 37, of Neptune, had previously been informed she was no longer permitted on the premises after her lease expired on January 15.

When officers arrived, they met with the new leaseholders, who reported that Krause had placed locks on the fences surrounding the office and track access areas, preventing management from entering the facility. Police say Krause then entered the office overlooking the racetrack and locked herself inside.

After multiple verbal warnings, Krause allegedly refused to come out, prompting officers to forcibly enter the office. She was taken into custody without reported injury. Krause was charged with defiant trespass and obstruction, processed at police headquarters, and released on a summons pending a court appearance in Wall Township Municipal Court.

Patrolman Joseph Liddy was listed as the arresting officer.

Krause, a former manager and family member of the speedway’s previous ownership group, has not yet commented publicly on the incident.

Authorities remind the public that all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
