Free rabies clinic set for Bayville this November and January

BAYVILLE, N.J. – Pet owners in Ocean County will have two chances to protect their animals from rabies at upcoming free vaccination clinics in Bayville.

The clinics are scheduled for Saturday, November 22, and Saturday, January 17, from 10 to 11 a.m.

Both events will take place at 660 Atlantic City Boulevard (Route 9), hosted by the Bayville First Aid Squad.

Key Points

  • Free rabies vaccinations offered for dogs and cats on Nov. 22 and Jan. 17 in Bayville.
  • Events run from 10 to 11 a.m. at 660 Atlantic City Blvd. (Rt. 9).
  • Proof of previous rabies vaccination is required for a three-year certificate.

Clinic offers free, safe vaccinations for pets

The Bayville First Aid Squad will provide the no-cost clinics to help residents keep their pets up to date on rabies protection. A one-year rabies certificate will be issued to pets unless owners bring proof of a previous rabies vaccination, in which case a longer-term certificate may be available.

Organizers remind attendees that all dogs must be leashed and cats must be secured in carriers for safety.

Public health initiative supports responsible pet ownership

The free clinics are part of a broader community effort to reduce the spread of rabies and promote responsible pet care. Rabies, a preventable viral disease, remains a public health concern in New Jersey, particularly in wildlife such as raccoons and bats.

Local officials encourage all pet owners to take advantage of the clinics to ensure their animals remain healthy and compliant with state vaccination laws.
