Hartsdale gas station sells $33K Take 5 top-prize ticket

HARTSDALE, N.Y. — A lucky Take 5 player is celebrating a $33,578 win after purchasing the top-prize ticket for the December 4 evening drawing, New York Lottery officials announced Thursday.

The winning ticket was sold at Hartsdale Fuel Corp, located at 74 S Central Avenue. The ticket matched all five numbers drawn from a pool of one through 39.

Take 5 drawings are held twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., offering players a chance to win prizes by matching anywhere from two to five numbers.

Lottery officials remind winners that prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing date and advise ticket holders to sign the back of their tickets to secure their winnings.
