Domestic dispute on South Franklin Street leads to arrest of Wilkes Barre woman
WILKES-BARRE, PA — An early morning disturbance on South Franklin Street resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old city woman after officers responded to a report of a physical altercation inside a residence, according to information released by the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department.
Officers were dispatched at 3:02 a.m. for a domestic incident involving a man and a woman. When police arrived, they spoke with the 31-year-old victim, who reported that the woman had come home from a bar heavily intoxicated. A verbal argument followed, and the situation escalated when she physically assaulted him.
The woman was taken into custody without incident and transported to Wilkes-Barre City Police Headquarters for processing and arraignment.
