Shot fired into Harrisburg home leads to swift arrest on Evergreen Street
HARRISBURG, PA — A late-morning report of a gunshot fired into an occupied home on Evergreen Street led officers to identify and arrest a suspect shortly after the incident, according to information released by Harrisburg Police.
The call came in around 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, when officers responded to the first block of Evergreen Street after a shot was fired into a residence. Officers spoke with the victim and witnesses and quickly identified Ivan Santiago-Castro as the individual responsible for firing the shot.
Santiago-Castro was located a short time later in the same area and taken into custody without incident. He was charged with discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, terroristic threats, and assault.
