Howell police k9 opus set for final patrol before retirement

HOWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ – After nearly a decade of service, K9 Opus will take his final patrol on Tuesday, marking the end of a distinguished career with the Howell Township Police Department.

Opus, partnered since 2016 with Corporal Jesse Moore, has been a fixture in local law enforcement and community outreach programs.

The department will honor him with a “final call” ceremony at 2:30 p.m. to celebrate his service and retirement.

A decade of dedicated service

K9 Opus joined the Howell Township Police Department in 2016, quickly becoming one of its most active and dependable canine officers.
