Federal and local authorities are investigating an incident that left an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent injured Tuesday morning along Route 72 near Mermaid Drive in Stafford Township. The suspect fled before police arrived and had not been located as of Tuesday evening.

The Stafford Township Police Department responded after receiving an emergency report of shots fired and an injured officer in the area.
