NEWARK, DE – Russel Ulrich, a 62-year-old Newark resident, was arrested by the Delaware State Police in relation to a shots fired incident last Tuesday night at the Red Roof Inn on Stanton Christiana Road.
Arriving at the scene around 8:27 pm, troopers heard gunfire from a nearby property. Investigation led them to Ulrich, who was found intoxicated, with a firearm and several spent casings at the rear of his property. No injuries were reported.
Ulrich now faces multiple charges, including Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony and five counts of Reckless Endangering First Degree. He was taken to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on a $41,000.00 secured bond.
