JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ – Jackson Township Councilman Marty Flemming announced his resignation tonight after it was revealed by citizen investigators that he no longer lives in Jackson.

The announcement comes after a bombshell report earlier Tuesday by Shore News Network.

Shore News Network was contacted on Monday by a concerned group of citizen whistleblowers after Flemming’s resignation from the Ocean County Land Trust.

The group provided photos and videos of Flemming living at his Cookstown home. Flemming sold his Jackson homes earlier this year and had said he still lived in the home, renting from the new owner.

Flemming appeared choked up, confirmed that his family has made Cookstown his new home, and said tonight was an end to 47 years of service in Jackson.

Flemming said he will continue to operate his business, County Line Hardware.

Shore News Network is not releasing the source of the videos and photos out of concern for their privacy and fear of political retribution.
